Debbie’s initial motivation for joining Bellin Fitness Center was her results from her Health Risk Assessment. The results hit her hard but after some soul searching she was able to build up the motivation to get off the couch and get her life back.
After becoming a new member and going through her free orientation with a Bellin personal trainer, Debbie was ready to get down to business. Two weeks later, Debbie decided she wanted to try it on her own. One night she drove to Bellin, turned off the car and just sat as she watched everyone exercising inside. She reminded herself that it was up to her to get her life back. Debbie got out of the car and walked up to the doors…that was Debbie’s first big step towards her new life.
Since joining the Bellin Fitness Center in 2008 Debbie has lost over 100 pounds and still counting. She has increased her time on the treadmill from 30 minutes to 50 minutes and she participates in many of Bellin’s Group Fitness classes including The Ride which is her favorite.
When asked if she had any advice for people wanting to make a lifestyle change like she did, Debbie stated “don’t be afraid to take that first step…you are worth it! And never give up, because hard work pays off!” Debbie is happy, stress free, feels great, and loves her new life!
