Jody Strnad

Jody is 54 years old and is the Director of Music and Liturgy at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in De Pere. She enjoys playing Scrabble, Clue, Catan, Sheephead and Five Crowns with family and friends, and spiritual reading.
Jody started on her own fitness journey after seeing the progress a friend had made after their knee replacement. Jody saw her friends health improve even after the replacement and she decided it was time to start her fitness journey since she felt her body was starting to fall apart.
Finding a regular time to workout was and still can be a challenge for Jody. With the work she does, her schedule varies from day to day. She is so grateful for the hours Bellin Fitness Center has available because she seems to find time even for a short workout, and still sees results.
Jody has been successful in her fitness journey. She has lost 20 pounds, feels stronger and has more stamina. She can walk farther without getting tired. Yard work and cutting the lawn has gotten easier, and she seems to sleep better. Some of Jody’s current goals are to build and maintain strength and stamina, stay in good health and fitness as she ages. This will help with stress, weight loss, and to complete the Bellin Run and the Walk to Mary.
One of the reasons Jody joined Bellin Fitness is the friendly staff who are extremely helpful. Working out with her personal trainer, Amanda Challe over time, has challenged Jody to do things she never thought should could do. For example, lifting heavier weight or trying a new exercise. She ever thought she would be able to get back to where she was when she was younger. She was raised on a farm and had worked very hard. As she got older, Jody was no longer on the farm on a regular basis, so she found herself losing strength, stamina and flexibility. Bellin fitness center has helped her to regain some of what she lost and is continuing to help her get stronger.
Jody’s life has definitely changed for the better since finding Bellin Fitness. She has regained her strength, stamina and flexibility. Her stress level has improved, and she always thinks that working out at Bellin contributes to her attitude adjustment for the day. Jody’s advice to others would be, “When the pain of remaining the same is greater than the pain of change, find something that you enjoy doing, in the way of exercise and working out. Bellin Fitness is here to help you and they will work with you wherever you are on your fitness journey.”
